The real bottleneck is orbital congestion and regulatory capture at the international level.

As low Earth orbit fills with tens of thousands of active satellites and debris, the risk of a cascading collision event—known as the Kessler Syndrome—becomes a non-zero threat. If a major debris event disables a significant portion of the Starlink constellation, the revenue engine stops overnight.

Furthermore, geoeconomic friction is accelerating. Authoritarian regimes do not like an unblockable, high-speed global internet blanket operating over their sovereign borders without state permission.
